RALLY ON DIGITAL LITERACY IN AASRON VILLAGE BY RAYATIANS
Rayat International School students and teachers organized a rally on April, 28, 2017 to make the rural population of Asron Village aware about “ Digital India Campaign”.
This rally was taken out by 60 students from class 9th and 12th along with five teachers.
The rally was flagged off by the School Principal Mrs. Subha Rathore from the School premises.
The students and teachers interacted with the village people for generating awareness by telling advantages of India’s Digital technology by demonstrating on tablets regarding the Apps like BHIM APP, PAYTM AND USSD payment method. Brochures on the same were also distributed among the villagers. Students imparted this knowledge through a “Nukkad Natika”. Villagers appreciated the efforts made by the students and teachers. They also promised to use Apps to promote cashless India.
This rally consisted of three groups. One was Royal Incredible Services run by RIS students, second was NSS volunteers of RIS and thirdly it was Computer Deptt of RIS. Smt. Satya (Sarpanch) accompanied by her son Balwinder Singh, Asha Rani (ANM), Asha worker Baljinder Kaur and students and teachers of Sarkari Middle School also gathered there to help, support applaud the efforts of the Students and Teachers of RIS.
The rally was conducted successfully. It made a great impact on the minds of the villagers. Principal, Mrs. Subha Rathore appreciated and congratulated the students and teachers for their initiative.
